Senator and Goodwill Fishermen Operations Manager, Kaygianna Toussaint Charlery, opposes the use of illegal firearms but advocates for fishermen to acquire legal firearms to safeguard themselves in response to rising piracy threats. The fishing community in St Lucia is confronting challenges as incidents of piracy prompt some fishermen to arm themselves for protection.
