Senior cops remind subordinates of patriotic duty

As concerns linger over a possible sickout of police officers for this year's carnival activities, senior police are reminding subordinates of their professional and patriotic duties. The call comes one day after some disgruntled officers expressed their intention to call in sick over frustrations relating to promotions and the payment of backpay. Speaking to the media, Alternate Gold Commander for Carnival 2024, ACP Winston Maharaj said he expects officers to report for duty once they are well enough to do so. Shane Superville has more.
