Serere and Tororo farmers benefit from new irrigation schemes
Several farmers in Serere and Tororo districts have received small micro-irrigation schemes. The farmers are engaged in the production of a variety of horticultural crops like tomatoes, green peppers, onions, watermelons, and cabbages. The three irrigation schemes were installed by the Ministry of Water for 2.1 billion shillings. Moses Osege, a farmer based in Serere District, says he used to work as a fisherman, but when the Fisheries Protection Unit started operations on the lake to ensure better catches, the business became unprofitable. #NTVNews #NTVTonight #NTVWeekendEdition Subscribe to Our Channel For more news visit http://www.ntv.co.ug Follow us on Twitter http://www.twitter.com/ntvuganda Connect with us on Messenger via m.me/NTVUganda
