Service charge agreement reached
Tourism Minister Ian Gooding-Edghill says the Labour Clauses (Concessions) Bill, 2024 is not intended to punish anyone. He revealed during meetings with tourism stakeholders in recent months, workers highlighted a long list of issues. They pertained to the receipt of vacation pay and service charge, charging workers for uniforms, the deduction of union dues as well as the issuance of short term contracts. Minister Gooding-Edghill says an agreement was reached on the matter of who should benefit from service charge.
