Patients with non-serious conditions will wait less than 15 minutes for a doctor at the Singapore General Hospital’s (SGH) emergency department. This is if they use its new telehealth service. Patients with conditions like flu and minor sprains previously had to wait up to seven hours. SGH is implementing this pilot for six months. The move could also help ease the A&E workload by up to 20 per cent. Alif Amsyar reports.
