Shadow defence secretary hopes 'US weaponry decision leads to UK doing the same'

James Cartlidge has welcomed news that President Biden has allowed Ukraine to use US long-range weaponry into Russia and hopes this leads to the UK "doing the same". With North Korean troops supporting Russia, Mr Cartlidge says this is a "significant escalation" and means the UK should grant "full autonomy on the use of Storm Shadow". Asked if use of these weapons would put the UK under threat from Russian retaliation, he says we have to stand up to that "bully", otherwise "we will be in the firing line".
