Shenzhen embraces air taxi trend, exploring low-altitude aviation

Heli-Eastern (Shenzhen Eastern General Aviation Company), a major low-altitude general aviation carrier and helicopter service provider based in Shenzhen, has been one of the local companies to provide air taxi services. The company also operates businesses including emergency rescue, business flights and helicopter tours. With air taxis, travel time for a 40-kilometer road journey is shortened to just 10 minutes, down from 40-60 minutes. In 2023, Heli-Eastern completed over 5,000 flights, transporting more than 10,000 passengers and operating on over 100 routes.
