Shooting outside New York City nightclub leaves 10 wounded

Ten people were wounded in a shooting outside a New York City nightclub while they were waiting to get into a private event, NYPD chief Philip Rivera said in a news briefing early on Thursday. The injured in the incident outside a private events club late on Wednesday evening included six females and four males and all were expected to recover, Rivera said. The incident occurred when 3 to 4 men opened fire toward a crowd outside the club, the NYPD said. Police ruled out the possibility of a terrorist attack.
