Singapore Airlines said deepening collaborations is crucial to its ability to tap high-growth markets. The national carrier posted a net profit of S$742 million for the first half of its financial year that ended in September -- a drop of nearly 49% compared to last year, as passenger capacity outweighed travel demand. At a briefing on its results, SIA said the operating landscape remains competitive, amid robust demand for air travel in the second half of the financial year. Mr Brendan Sobie, an independent analyst and consultant at Sobie Aviation, shared more on what this means for SIA and the broader aviation sector.
