Singapore's 15-year-olds top PISA's creative thinking skills assessment globally

Singapore's 15-year-olds are top in the world for creative thinking, but they don't necessarily believe that's the case. This, according to results from the Programme for International Student Assessment. PISA judged students' ability to generate creative ideas and come up with novel solutions to problems. The assessment showed about 60% of the 6,600 Singaporeans who took part were top performers, more than twice the OECD average of 27%. Ms Liew Wei Li, director-general of education at MOE, discussed the findings.
