Singapore's core inflation falls to 2.1% in October, lowest in nearly 3 years

Singapore's core inflation fell to 2.1 per cent on-year in October, down from 2.8 per cent the previous month. This is the lowest since December 2021. Market watchers expect inflation to ease further in 2025, as global energy prices have remained below the levels a year ago. CNA's Angela Lim speaks to Alvin Liew, Senior Economist at UOB, on how long it would take before easing inflation would trickle down to Singaporeans' cost of living.
