Singapore's PMI expands for fifth straight month in January to reach highest in more than two y
Singapore's manufacturing activity in January was at its highest in more than two years. The Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) improved 0.2 points to 50.7, marking five consecutive months of expansion. The growth was led by faster expansion in key indices like new orders, new exports and input purchases. Performance was dragged down by slower growth in factory output and employment. The electronics sector also recorded a third straight month of expansion.
