Singapore's retail sales up 8.4% in February

Singapore's retail sector gained momentum in February, boosted by Chinese New Year festivities. It raked in S$3.9 billion, growing 8.4 per cent on-year. This was more than January's growth of 1.6 per cent. Some observers say overseas travellers visiting Singapore also helped to boost spending.
