Singapore and China sign 25 agreements at annual top-level bilateral meeting

Singapore and China will upgrade a longstanding free trade agreement, which will enter into force at the end of the year. It will level the playing field for Singapore investors, who will benefit from greater market access to China. This was one of the 25 agreements signed at the Joint Council for Bilateral Cooperation, the highest bilateral platform between both countries. The platform celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong said Singapore takes a long-term view in its partnership with China. Tan Si Hui reports.
