The National Translation Committee, which helps to turn Government messages into Singapore's official languages, celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. But with the rise of artificial intelligence and speech translator apps, is the role of a translator becoming redundant? CNA speaks with Teo Kah Hui, a Member of the Chinese Resource Panel, and Ganardhipan Mathialaku, a citizen translator who works mainly in Tamil.
