Singapore's new Invincible-class submarine, named Inimitable, has been launched in the German city of Kiel. It is the last of four customised submarines specially designed for the country. The 70m-long Invincible-class submarines are meant to replace their ageing Challenger- and Archer-class counterparts, which were built more than 40 years ago. At the launch event, Senior Minister Teo Chee Hean said Singapore needs steadfast and reliable partners around the world to tackle shared challenges, such as protecting the global maritime commons. Sabrina Ng reports.
