Singapore teen joins BWT Alpine F1 team as development driver

A teenager has become the first Singaporean race driver to be signed by a Formula One (F1) team. Sixteen-year-old Kabir Anurag joins BWT Alpine F1 Academy as its ninth development driver for this season. BWT Alpine F1 says Kabir will have access to the team’s facilities at its F1 base in the English town of Enstone. He will also benefit from the guidance and support of both the Academy’s fleet of staff and the wider F1 team. Aslam Shah reports.
