Singapore visitor arrivals hit 13.6m in 2023, tourism receipts likely to be $24.5b to $26b
The Singapore Tourism Board said it expects recovery in the sector to improve, even if it falls short of pre-pandemic levels. It has forecast visitor arrivals to reach around 15 to 16 million, with spending between $26 billion and $27.5 billion this year. Singapore attracted 13.6 million international visitors last year, about 70% of pre-pandemic levels. Meanwhile, tourism receipts are expected to come in at between $24.5 billion and S$26 billion for 2023 -- higher than forecasted and above 88% of pre-pandemic levels.
