Singapore will take principled view on actions in the Middle East: Shanmugam

Despite Singapore's strong relationship with Israel, Law and Home Affairs Minister K Shanmugam said that will not preclude Singapore from taking a principled view on actions by any party in the Middle East, at any point in time. Describing recent actions by Israel as a cause for concern, he added that these will impact the perception of Jewish communities around the world. He was speaking at an event marking the upcoming Jewish festival of Passover. Fifty community guests, including representatives of the Inter-Religious Organisation, Singapore joined the celebration.
