Sky News partners with Vinnies for CEO Sleepout

The cost of living crisis has become quite dire and is putting “enormous pressure” on Australian families, St Vincent de Paul Society NSW CEO Yolanda Saiz says. The annual CEO Sleepout is set to take place on June 20 in a bid to raise awareness about the ongoing plight of homeless people. “One in three of the people that we’re seeing at the St Vincent de Paul Society are coming to us for the first time,” Ms Saiz told Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood. “That tells us we’re seeing new people, people that haven’t had to turn to charity for help before. “The situation is pretty dire out there and we know that it can just happen to anyone.”
