SMRT conducts annual flood preparedness exercise at one-north MRT station

Public transport operator SMRT conducted its annual flood preparedness exercise at one-north MRT station. While the station's flood barriers can be put up within 30 minutes, newer stations on the Thomson-East Coast Line have pneumatic ones that can cut deployment to just 10 minutes. National water agency PUB has overseen more than 40 such exercises this year. Rachel Teng reports.
