‘So happy’: Jess Fox wins gold in women’s single kayak final

Jess Fox has won gold at the Paris Games in the women’s single kayak final after falling short at three previous Olympics. “After many years of hard work and technical, physical, mental work to try and put down that run in an Olympic final, and it was really something I was very proud of,” Ms Fox said at a media conference. “It was really something I was very proud of. “When I crossed the finish line, I knew that was a good run, but I also just had to wait agonisingly long – it was really long to just wait and see whether it would be enough. “And, yeah, so, so happy.”
