Soca Goes Gold to help over 600 families this Christmas

The stage has been set and patrons of this year's Soca Goes Gold will have the opportunity to contribute to the Eden Lodge Youth Charitable Trust's goal of raising $650,000. The proceeds collected from this event will be used to host an annual Christmas event and provide for over 600 families. President and Chief Executive Officer of the trust Dwayne Grazette says last year the group helped 599 families, and so far for the year there have been 635 requests for assistance. Following a site visit to Bagatelle Great House he says they are hoping to raise about $100,000 from this event. Headliners for the night are Trinidadian Soca Sensations Destra Garcia and Shurwayne Winchester, along with an entire Barbadian cast including Alison Hinds, Edwin Yearwood, The Mighty Gabby, Marzville, Barry Chandler, T.C., and others.
