Social media ‘swamped’ with cheers over US CEO’s murder and ‘lionising’ the shooting suspect

Sky News host James Macpherson claims the reaction to UnitedHealthcare Chief Executive Brian Thompson’s murder has been “quite unbelievable”. 26-year-old Luigi Mangione has been arrested in relation to the alleged murder of the CEO of UnitedHealthcare after being recognised by a McDonald’s staff member in Pennsylvania. “Social media has been swamped with people cheering for Thompson’s murder and lionising the alleged killer for taking out the supposed billionaire,” Mr Macpherson said.
