Some firms concerned over higher Local Qualifying Salary

Businesses will have to pay workers higher salaries when the updated Local Qualifying Salary scheme starts in July. They say the move will put a strain on their businesses as they find ways to pay a higher wage. But other companies say they are benefiting from other Budget announcements like the S$1 billion top-up to the Progressive Wage Credit Scheme.
