Some PSV operators upset about having to undertake training
Some PSV operators are upset about having to undertake training to operate their vehicles. The new requirement by Government requires drivers and conductors to be certified to operate PSV vehicles moving forward. The course which is named the PSV Service Training will be held at the Barbados Community College and is in conjunction with the National Training Initiative. The course is expected to be 20 hours in total at a cost of 200 dollars. However, CEO of the Communication Team in charge of sensitising the new regulations Joy-Ann Haigh, says the course is only being put in place to help the owners, conductors and drivers.
