Some tech giants need to be more proactive in tackling scams: Sun Xueling

The Home Affairs Ministry has urged some social media services and online platforms to be more proactive in tackling scams. For example, it said Meta needs to respond quicker to requests to recover compromised WhatsApp accounts, or even disabling accounts if they are found to be part of a scam. It added that search engine Google can take better care and look at how it can prevent scam variants on its platform.
