SONA 2024 | Black Sash reflects on past promises

Black Sash says it's no longer interested in what President Cyril Ramaphosa has to say on Thursday. The human rights organisation is calling for action and says public servants need to be pro-people and not pro-individuals. The President will deliver his State of the Nation Address, amid rising hunger and poverty. Electricity too, has become a massive bargaining chip in society.
