South Korea in uncharted territory after failed arrest of impeached former president

South Korean investigators asked the country’s acting president Saturday to order the presidential security service to comply with the arrest warrant for impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol. It comes after the security service and military troops prevented prosecutors from carrying out the arrest Friday, sparking a six-hour standoff inside Yoon’s compound. Protests that erupted Friday poured over into Saturday following the failed arrest.
