South Korea is observing seven days of mourning for the victims of Sunday's Jeju Air plane crash that killed 179 people in the southern city of Muan. The plane caught fire after belly-landing on the runway and hitting a barrier. Authorities investigating the crash say the pilot made a Mayday emergency call after mentioning a bird strike, minutes before landing. The country has now announced a comprehensive inspection of its Boeing 737-800 fleet. Al Jazeera’s Rob McBride reports from Muan, South Korea.
