Almost everyone on board a Jeju Air passenger plane perished when the aircraft skidded off a runway while attempting to land at South Korea’s Muan Airport. The aircraft slammed into a concrete wall and burst into flames, killing 179 people; there were two survivors. The plane's front landing gear reportedly failed to deploy in what is being considered one of the nation’s worst aviation disasters.
