South Korea’s president declares emergency martial law

South Korea's President has declared martial law. Yoon Suk Yeol made the unexpected announcement in a late-night television address, saying that the move is because the opposition supports North Korea. Local media reports that the entrance to parliament has been blocked, and lawmakers cannot get into the building. Opposition leaders say they are working to nullify the law.
