Southern Gaza hospitals at ‘breaking point’: Red Cross
The International Committee of the Red Cross says hospitals in Southern Gaza are at a 'breaking point'. The influx of Palestinians wounded by Israel's bombardment has led to overcrowded waiting rooms and patients being treated on the floor. The organization says doctors could soon be forced to make 'difficult choices' on who gets treated. Meanwhile, the UN agency for Palestinian refugees, UNRWA, says that only 10 of its 26 38 percent of health centres in the Gaza Strip are operational. Al Jazeera’s Tareq Abu Azzoum has this report from Deir el-Balah in central Gaza.
