Space X’s Polaris Dawn mission successfully launches

The four-person crew of Space X’s Polaris Dawn mission will make history – taking part in the first privately funded spacewalk. The crew, who have already blasted off from Cape Canaveral in Florida, will spend five days in space, carrying out a two-hour private spacewalk while in orbit. Previously, only government-funded astronauts have taken part in spacewalks.
