Speculation surrounding PM’s desired date for federal election

Sky News contributor Louise Roberts predicts the upcoming federal election will take place on May 10. “It’s the last week before May 17 when they have to go to an election,” she told Sky News host Caroline Marcus. “It allows them to go to get a federal budget through which means they can pack it full of sweetness to try and woo the electorate.”
