“Stop EACOP campaign” - Two youth arrested protesting near Europe Union head offices in Kampala

Police have apprehended two youths who were carrying placards protesting the construction of the East African Crude Oil Pipeline- EACOP. The individuals, part of a group of three from the Justice movement- Uganda, were arrested near the European Union Ambassador’s office, at Crested towers in Kampala. In recent months, several youths have been arrested for their involvement in protests against Uganda’s EACOP and the ongoing multi-billion-dollar oil and gas projects.
