Stringer Dispatch: Waves destroy the last shelter, leaving Gazan refugees with nowhere to go
For more: https://www.cgtn.com/video The arrival of heavy rain has further exacerbated the already dire situation for Gaza's refugees. On the beach west of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, continuous downpours have led to the destruction of numerous tents as rising tides sweep them away. These refugees, who have been displaced multiple times, now have nowhere to turn. Umm Ahmed, a refugee, told CGTN that her children nearly drowned in the sea, and almost all their belongings had been destroyed. With prices soaring, the children are left to go hungry, lacking clothing and blankets. She lamented, "There is no place for us. We had moved to the beach. Where do we go now?"
