Student absences in Victoria skyrocket

The number of Victorian students missing class has climbed dramatically in the past five years. The Herald Sun has revealed Year 7 students missed over a million days of school in 2023. It shows a 41 per cent increase on 2019. Experts warn truancy rates will worsen if staffing issues and student behaviour aren't addressed.
