Student died after inhaling multiple 'big bottles' of laughing gas a day, inquest hears |

Laughing gas abuse contributed to the death of 24-year-old Ellen Mercer, a coroner has concluded. The student, who inhaled two to three "big bottles" of laughing gas each day, died from a pulmonary embolism on February 10. Her brother tells ITV News that her death was the result of "a long struggle with mental health", adding that mental health workers had stopped following up with her.
