A call has been made for students between the ages of six and 16 to join the Barbados Landship. The National Cultural Foundation has opened up the opportunity for those in that age group to participate in the cultural movement. The programme is being rolled out in five zones in the first instance. Co-ordinating Captain of the Eastern Zone Rashida Brereton says joining the Landship is a cultural journey, where students learn many new things, including life skills. And NCF's Chief Cultural Officer Andrea wells says there have been misconceptions about some of the movements of the landship. In fact, she says some of the movements within the Landship are still being explored by academics.
