Sudan: Over 20,000 cases of Cholera disease in war-hit country

The war and heavy rains have caused a breakdown in infrastructure including issues with water supply - causing an outbreak of cholera in Sudan. Sudan’s health ministry shared on Monday that there are 24,116 reported cases, up significantly from 15,577 in late September. Port Sudan, the wartime capital, was already buckling under the pressure of thousands of displaced people and recently, its main water source the Arbaat Dam has burst from heavy rains. In Port Sudan, we filmed people struggling to find clean water and protect themselves against rampant disease.
