Sudan suspends membership in IGAD regional bloc

Sudan has suspended its membership with the regional body set up to promote development in eastern Africa. It's because the Intergovernmental Authority on Development invited the leader of the Sudan's Rapid Support Forces armed group. Sudan's military has been fighting the RSF for several months.
