Supporting Manufacturers

The Ministry of Trade and Industry recently launched its Export Booster Initiative (EBI) which seeks to support manufacturers and help their businesses through various projects. Assistant Director of Trade Promotion and Development of the Trade Directorate, Neville Alexander, said one of the areas of support is the International Certification Fund ( ICF) which provides support to get certification for export. Mr. Pilgrim added that successful students are expected to receive two acres of land and a homestead as well as financial support to kick start their business. A member of the programme’s first cohort of graduates, Jabari Clarke, shared his most impactful takeaway from the Homestead programme.
