Suspect in Las Vegas Cybertruck explosion was Army member on leave

The suspected driver of the Cybertruck that exploded in Las Vegas outside of the Trump International Hotel on New Year's Day sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head prior to the blast, police said. An Army spokesperson said the suspect was a Green Beret on leave. Investigators believe the explosion was intentional, but hadn't determined a motive or how it was detonated as of Thursday afternoon, according to sources.
