Suspending Senator Fatima from the Labor caucus was the 'right call'

Assistant Defence Minister Matt Thistlethwaite discusses the suspension of Senator Fatima Payman from the Labor caucus after she crossed the floor to support the Greens' vote to recognise a Palestinian state. "When people join the Labor Party, they make a commitment to abide by the rules of the party," Mr Thistlethwaite told Sky News Australia. "Senator Payman took some actions that breached that rule, and therefore, she has been suspended. "It's the right call."
