Syria civil war: US calls for UN peace plan implementation
Rebels continued their push in western Syria on Tuesday, taking hold of four towns as the country's civil war ramps up. In the meantime, the U.S. military says it conducted a self-defence attack against an ISIS weapons system. The attack took place in the country's northeast and is not related to the conflict between Syrian militants HTS and Bashir al-Assad's forces, but Washington is calling for all players and supporters in the region to work towards a peace plan established by the United Nations (UN) Security Council nine years ago.
