Tackling hunger | Foundation launches food and nutrition programme

Although South Africa as a nation has sufficient food, many households remain food insecure. Over the years, Gift of the Givers Foundation has offered emergency relief and aid to the Matsila village and surrounding communities. It provides them with food parcels and dug boreholes to ensure clean water availability during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Chief Matsila Foundation, together with Gift of the Givers, will be launching a food and nutrition program this week. It will deliver food parcels to over 2,000 beneficiaries, including children, elderly people, and people with disabilities. Chief Livhuwani Matsila discussed this with eNCA.
