Taiwan's Air Force holds emergency takeoff drills

Taiwan's Air Force is practising emergency takeoffs as China flies a growing number of warplanes nearby. Last year, Taiwan recorded more than 3,000 violations of its self-declared air defence zone, signifying the highest number on record, nearly doubling the total from 2023. Some analysts say the repeated flights nearby aim to wear down Taiwan ahead of a potential attack.
