Talks on how to engage youth in local heritage

Discussions are ongoing regarding how the younger generation can interact with the heritage of Barbados. Minister in the Prime Minister Office with Responsibility for Culture, Shantal Munro-Knight made this announcement at an antiques market in Golden Square. Speaking at the market which had a special auction for Dale Carnegie Library. Ms. Munro-Knight said they are trying to have some school children moving forward to help to transfer information from the older generation to the current. Meanwhile, Co-ordinator of Heritage Month and Senior Cultural Policy Officer in the Division of Culture in the Prime Minister's Office, Doctor Sharon Johnson, says her aim for events like these is to get all Barbadians to have some form of pride in their heritage.
