Donald Trump is set to serve a second term as president after winning the election on Wednesday (Nov 6), with the ramifications of his victory going far beyond the United States’ borders. On the campaign trail, he has vowed to impose blanket tariffs of up to 20 per cent on imports from all countries, as well as tariffs on Chinese imports in excess of 60 per cent.
